What Personal Information about you does Ethical Horse Products gather?

When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address. This is stored in our shop software for the purpose of managing a transaction which includes, taking a payment, allocating product stock or pre-purchase stock, shipping a product, and in the event that you require a refund.

When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system. It is also required to enable us to protect against fraudulent behaviour.

If you are a member of our internal staff, or are an external consultant, we may process sufficient data that we can fulfil our contract with you (ie pay you on time).

Information You Give Us: We receive and store any information you enter on our website or give us in any other way. You can choose not to provide certain information but then you might not be able to take advantage of many of our features such as making a purchase.

Ethical Horse Products does not process financial transaction itself. We rely on two online payment services to manage securely the process of making, and taking a payment. We are based in the UK, and as such UK Law take precedence.

We receive and store certain types of information whenever you interact with us. For example, like many websites, we use “cookies” and we obtain certain types of information when your Web browser accesses A number of companies offer utilities designed to help you visit websites anonymously. This means you can request in writing to have all of your information held by Ethical Horse Products destroyed. You should understand that by making a request which we are obligated to carry out, your purchase information will be deleted as well. This means that, if at a later date, you require a refund due to faulty goods, or a replacement, you will need to provide your invoice that you received from Ethical Horse Products. We will not be able to provide a refund or replacement item in the event that you cannot provide the invoice, as we will not have records to cross check with.

Does Ethical Horse Products share the Information it receives?
In general, no. Information about our clients is an important part of our business and we will never share your details with others without your express permission. We do share the bare minimum of your data to the extent that it is necessary for us to process your payments and ship products. This may mean that your data is saved on servers outside the EU.
